Londra'da Katillere, Tacizcilere, Cezasızlığa Karşı/March against femicides in London

Kadın Cinayetlerini Durduracağız platformunun İngiltere ayağının düzenlediği Katillere, Tacizcilere, Cezasızlığa Karşı eylemi 19 Ekim'de Londra'da gerçekleşti. 

İngiltere saati ile 15:00'da Russell Square'de başlayan yürüyüş 16:30'da Whitehall'da son buldu.

İkbal Uzuner ve Ayşenur Halil cinayetlerinden sonra artış gösteren protestoların ana amacı 2021'de feshedilen İstanbul Sözleşmesi ve kapsamındaki 6284 sayılı kanunun yürürlükten kaldırılmasını kınamaktı.

Londra'nın şehir merkezini kapsayan bir rotada eylem yapan yüzü aşkın kişi, bu doğrultuda İngilizce ve Türkçe sloganlar attı. 

Bu sloganların içinde "Turkish government apply the law", "Turkish women deserve to live", "you will never walk alone", "İstanbul Sözleşmesi yaşatır" ve "yalnız yürümeyeceksin" vardı. 

Londra'da 1 seneyi aşkın bir süredir ses getiren ve düzenli olarak her Cumartesi düzenlenen Filistin'deki soykırımı kınayan eylemler, Türk aktivistlerle kesişti. İki taraf da birbirlerini alkışlayarak, destek mesajları verdi. 

Eylemin bitiş noktası olan Whitehall'da yapılan kısa bir konuşmanın ardından grup alkışlar ile dağıldı.

The protest against femicides in Turkey, organized by the UK branch of the "We Will Stop Femicides" movement, took place on October 19. in London.

The march began at 3:00 PM UK time at Russell Square and ended at 4:30 PM in Whitehall.

The main purpose of the protests in Turkey and Europe, which have intensified following the murders of İkbal Uzuner and Ayşenur Halil, was to condemn the annulment of the Istanbul Convention in 2021 and the repeal of Law No. 6284, which falls under its scope.

More than a hundred people marched through the central route of London, chanting slogans in both English and Turkish.

These slogans included "Turkish government apply the law," "Turkish women deserve to live," "you will never walk alone," "Istanbul Convention saves lives," and "you will never walk alone".

The protest coincided with regular Saturday demonstrations, which have been held for over a year, condemning the genocide in Palestine. The Turkish activists and the Palestinian solidarity groups applauded and exchanged messages of support with one another.

After a brief speech at the protest’s endpoint in Whitehall, the group dispersed with applause.
